| Bennett
Miller Homes was organized in 1983 to restore old industrial
and commercial buildings into loft conversions in blighted
areas of Dallas. By producing affordable accomodations for
Dallas' downtown workforce, these early projects brought
new life and vitality to various areas of innercity Dallas
including the Cedars, Uptown, Downtown, Deep Ellum, and
the West End. Two of the most well know BMH conversions
are Magnolia
Station and the American Beauty Mill Lofts. Both
are remarkable 19th century style industrial complexes that
are now on the U.S. Department of Interiors National Register
of Historic Places. The converted developments represent
America's nineteenth century emergence in petroleum and
grain production.
In
2005, Bennett Miller Homes refocused on building affordable
new homes close to downtown jobs. Considered workforce
housing, these innovative and unique townhomes were modedstly
priced for working people hoping to own a home of their
own near downtown jobs and ammenities. Since 2005, BMH
has built over 30 townhomes in the Cedars
Neighborhood just south of Downtown Dallas.
Each carefully crafted project celebrates the history
of the area and has become home to an eclectic mix of
residents. 9th
Street Townhomes, BMH's first foray into Oak
Cliff is sure to be yet another success. Read

The
small company is headed by Bennett Miller with Zachary
